Your Stella Sora Journey

Five entry points into the Monolith, from your first squad to a Record tuned for high-difficulty Ascension.

Explore Stella Sora Guides

Everything you need to build a squad, assemble a Record and climb the Ascension ladder.

Stella Sora Beginner Guide

Everything a new Tyrant needs in the first few hours: account and platform setup, how Authorization Level gates content, where Vigor comes from, what Daily Affairs are worth, and the first Monolith run that opens up the rest of the game.

Open Guides
1

Create your account and decide your login method — Steam, email, Google or Apple — before you pull on any banner. Cross-platform sync only works when the account is bound.

2

Clear the New Star Guild prologue to unlock the Monolith, Ascension and the Trekker Association.

3

Spend your first Vigor on Ascension runs rather than side content — Monolith progress is what unlocks Monolith Research nodes.

4

Pick up the permanent launch rewards from in-game mail: Cerulean Tickets, Sprout Tickets and Stellanite Dust.

5

Set a Daily Affairs routine so Vigor never caps out while you are away from the game.

6

Do not commit resources to a Record before you understand Potentials — the Version 2.0 Record Adjustment tools let you re-tune, not restart.

Stella Sora Potentials & Records

The Record is the build you carry through a run — Discs, Potentials and Musical Notes bound together. Version 2.0 added Record Adjustment, letting you reallocate Common Potentials and Notes on any finished Record above Lv. 21.

Open Potentials
1

Open Record Details and check the Record level first — adjustment is only available on Records at Lv. 21 or above.

2

For Potentials, lower a Common Potential by one level to bank one unassigned Potential, up to a maximum of five at a time.

3

Spend each unassigned Potential to raise any non-maxed Common Potential by one level. Core Potentials cannot be touched.

4

Confirm the change by consuming one Vintage Reserve. Adjustments are permanent once saved and the item is not refunded.

5

For Notes, enter Note Adjustment from the Disc Skills screen, bank up to 15 unassigned Notes, then reassign them across Elemental Notes.

6

Confirm the Note change by consuming one Resonant Chorus. Each Record can be adjusted once for Potentials and once for Notes.

Stella Sora Ascension Guide

Ascension is the repeatable Monolith mode: you assemble three Trekkers, descend through procedurally generated floors, and gain randomised combat bonuses as the floor count climbs. Difficulty runs from Normal up to Chaotic.

Open Ascension
1

Enter Ascension from the Monolith and choose a difficulty level. Escalating tiers include Hard, Extra Hard, Ultimate and Beyond, with Chaotic on the highest content.

2

Build your squad around the stage's recommended elements. Beyond-difficulty content publishes explicit recommended and not-recommended elements.

3

As floors accumulate, take the randomised combat bonuses that fit your Record rather than the highest raw numbers.

4

Plan Monolith Shop spending early — shop decisions are one of the priorities you can hand to the Vita Autopilot system.

5

Unlock and prioritise Monolith Research nodes; the Version 2.0 update expanded the Ascension track with new research nodes.

6

Save a strong run as a Record and submit it to Call for Best Records-style goals to convert performance into resources.

Stella Sora Updates

Version history and what each patch changed. Version 2.0 shipped alongside the Steam release and the first anniversary, bringing Record Adjustment, the Vita Autopilot system and a new main story special chapter.

Open Updates
1

Record Adjustment (Potentials and Notes), Vita Autopilot, Tyrant's Tower Beta, Through Hostile Depths, and the Wholeness at Reunion's Dawn special chapter.

2

New ★5 Aqua Trekker and Disc, main story Chapter 9, and the A Monolith Too Far limited event.

3

New ★5 Trekker headline with accompanying limited Disc and event rewards.

4

New ★5 Trekker headline and event content.

Yostar runs a roughly two-week maintenance and version cadence, with mandatory client updates on major versions.

What is Stella Sora?

Stella Sora is a free-to-play light-action fantasy RPG developed and published by Yostar. You take the role of the Tyrant and join the Trekkers, a guild of adventurers exploring the continent of Nova, where colossal structures known as Monoliths rise out of the sands.

Three-Trekker Squads

Every fight is built around a three-slot squad. Main damage, support skills and element coverage all have to fit inside those three picks.

Six-Element System

Aqua, Ignis, Terra, Ventus, Lux and Umbra. Yostar does not run cross-element reactions — same-element teams are the intended scaling path, and stages publish their Enemy Vulnerability.

The Record Build Layer

Runic Discs, Potentials and Musical Notes combine into the Record you carry through a run. Version 2.0 added Record Adjustment so a finished Record can be re-tuned.

Procedural Ascension

Ascension generates Monolith floors run by run and hands out randomised combat bonuses as the count climbs, with difficulty escalating from Normal up to Chaotic.

Combat is top-down and squad-based: three Trekkers are fielded at a time, and a build is layered on top of them. Each run collects Runic Discs, Potentials and Musical Notes into a Record, and Ascension turns that Record into a repeatable, difficulty-scaled challenge with procedurally generated floors. Around the core loop sit a branching main story, the Heartlink affinity system, Tyrant's Tower and a rotating set of casual minigames.

The Trekkers below are the ones Yostar has documented on the official site and in announcements. Element and role are quoted where the official material states them; where it does not, the field reads unknown rather than guessed.

The Six Elements

View All

Stella Sora runs exactly six elements and no cross-element reactions. Team building is about matching an element to the stage's Enemy Vulnerability rather than chaining reactions.

Permanent & Rotating Modes

View All

Beyond the Ascension ladder, Stella Sora keeps a set of permanent and rotating modes open. Which one is worth your Vigor depends on whether you need materials, rankings or practice.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Stella Sora free to play?+

Yes. Stella Sora is a free-to-play title from Yostar, available on Steam alongside the mobile and PC client versions. Nothing in this wiki requires a purchase, and the guides are written for players who never spend — the main currency you manage is Vigor and the main planning decision is which Record to build next.

Does Stella Sora have elemental reactions?+

No. Yostar does not run cross-element reactions in Stella Sora. The six elements — Aqua, Ignis, Terra, Ventus, Lux and Umbra — are a team-building axis instead: matched-element squads are the intended scaling path, and stages publish an Enemy Vulnerability list naming the two elements a given zone rewards.

What is a Record in Stella Sora?+

A Record is the build you carry through a run. It is assembled from Runic Discs, Potentials and Musical Notes bound together, and the Disc Skills and Harmony Skills that fire during a fight read off it. Version 2.0 added Record Adjustment, which lets a finished Record at Lv. 21 or above be re-tuned instead of rebuilt from scratch.

How many Trekkers are in a squad?+

Three. Every mode in Stella Sora is fought with a three-Trekker squad, which is why role coverage matters more than raw roster size — a squad normally wants one main damage source, element coverage for the stage, and a Disc that supports whichever element you committed to. Trial and error on those three slots is the core of team building.

What is Ascension?+

Ascension is the repeatable Monolith mode at the centre of the endgame. You descend through procedurally generated floors, pick up randomised combat bonuses as the floor count climbs, and spend what you earn in the Monolith Shop. Difficulty escalates across Normal, Hard, Extra Hard, Ultimate, Beyond and Chaotic tiers.

Do you publish damage numbers or pull rates?+

No, and we deliberately do not estimate them. Yostar has not published damage multipliers, drop rates or levelling caps, so any figure you see quoted elsewhere is a community guess. Where the official announcements do give a number — such as the Record Adjustment threshold at Lv. 21 or the Note adjustment ceiling — we state it and cite where it came from.

Is the Steam version different from mobile?+

The Steam release shipped on October 19, 2026 alongside the Version 2.0 first-anniversary update, and it supports cross-platform account data synchronisation with the mobile and PC client versions. Binding your account correctly before you invest in banners is the one setup step worth doing carefully, because an unbound account is the usual cause of lost progress.

Ready to Plan Your Next Run?

From your first Monolith floor to a Record tuned for Menace Arena, our guides cover the Trekker builds, element matchups and Ascension routes that carry a run to the end.
